Bria Bauman
Kinesiologist & Personal Trainer

My love for an active lifestyle started when I was 4 years old, where I grew up in the ballet studio spending most of my youth and adolescence. I trained and competed in high level ballet, from fitting my first pair of pointe shoes at 10 years old, to completing the last of my Royal Academy Exams, Advanced 2, with Distinction at 17 years old. Ballet instilled an appreciation for discipline and artistry in me from a young age, shaping who I am as an athlete and individual. After high school, I made a choice to go to university instead of pursuing a professional career in dance, where I had to take it upon myself to find new forms of movement that fulfill me.
It wasn't until about halfway through the Kinesiology program at SFU that I discovered a broader understanding of movement and the science behind physical health. This transition sparked a new love for fitness and healthy living. Today, I thrive on an active lifestyle that prioritizes both the work done in the gym and outside of it. I believe in the power or movement, not just for performance but for overall well-being. My journey from the ballet studio to the gym has allowed me to learn more about my own strengths and capabilities while allowing me to inspire others to embrace fitness as a vital component of everyday life. Whether it's lifting weights, hitting the trails, or sharing knowledge about healthy habits, I'm dedicated to living life to the fullest and encouraging others to do the same. Now as a BCAK Registered Kinesiologist I look forward to guiding individuals back to sport, work and the daily life activities they love through active rehabilitation.
